My daughter takes piano lessons with Troy, and it has been such a delightful experience! He is patient and kind and makes learning fun! He is a great support to her as she prepares for recitals and then brings her right back around to learning concepts again. I don’t remember my lessons being this fun when I was a kid!

Troy has been my piano teacher for 2 years, and is amazing! I played piano when I was younger, and stopped playing for 15 years before deciding to pick it back up again. Troy has made it so I have found the joy in playing piano again. Thank you, Troy!

Common Concerns About Starting Music Lessons
“I’m worried I’m not talented enough or that I’m starting too late.”
It’s never too late to start learning music — and talent is only a small part of the story. The real key is curiosity, consistency, and a great teacher to guide you. My lessons are built to meet you where you are and help you make steady, rewarding progress — whether you’re just starting or rediscovering your love for music after years away.
“I’m not sure I have enough time to practice.”
That’s completely normal! I design lessons around real life — even short, focused practice sessions can be incredibly effective. I’ll help you develop a routine that fits your schedule and gives you small wins each week, so you can keep improving without feeling overwhelmed.
“I’m nervous about taking lessons online or performing in front of someone.”
I totally understand — learning music can feel vulnerable at first! My approach is patient, encouraging, and low-pressure. Lessons (in-person or online) are a safe space to explore, make mistakes, and grow. Many students tell me it’s one of the most enjoyable and confidence-building parts of their week.
